Maybe oneday…
Well I’ve tried WordPress, I like it, but I don’t think I’ll be using the freebase version… to many limitations and I don’t want to have to apy for anything right now… so maybe one day I’ll come back and give it another shot, but for now I’m sticking with Blogger [http://nickc321.blogspot.com]
Who Will Control the Heart of Handsets?
Now is an amazing time to be in the market for a new mobile smartphone. Since the release of the iPhone the mobile market has been undergoing many changes. A large change is reflected in the Operating System side. Between the iPhone and Google’s Android system many changes are in store for the market. Nokia’s Symbian has a strong position among mobile operating systems, but announcements from Microsoft, LiMo, and others show the competition’s heating up. The next 6months or so of product releases should be interesting.
Wii + Rehab = Wiihab, the Cycle is Now Complete
Posted on Engagdet, not noted else and heard on the streets… Wiihab is in. basically the Wii is the first game console to make you ‘work’. No more just sitting on the couch and watching the screen, you have to get up and make the game happen. The idea of using it for rehab just fit in my mind. I’m kind of surprised who long it took, but then if you saw some of the picture coming out when the Wii first appeared… Anyways, I do think, if I ever decide to pickup a new games Console, Wii will most-likely be it, but for now, I’ll stick with my really old-school Sega Dreamcast.
Historical Gadgets
This is great, I love who we tend to assume we create everything…. It’s not all about circuits, silicon and stock options: mankind’s been making technology since the dawn of time. Here’s ten of the most wonderful gadgets from centuries—and millenia—past. Wired put together a great list of gadgets, yes gadgets, that are just ancient and probably as useful today as they were then, well at least the Pot Still is…. I personally want to learn more about the ‘The Baghdad Battery’ from 250CE.

Wal-Mart can beat out most, just not on the internet
Wal-Mart has closed its video download business and turned over its rental service to Netflix. Wal-Mart has sited the closure based on HP’s decision to no longer provide software for the service. No word on whether they will attempt a future site, Music Downloads still available as are mail order CDs and Movies. I guess the price cutter just couldn’t cut its prices low enough. Personally I still prefer physical media over downloads. Good news it that Netflix (which I am a customer of) will be the benefactor of movies previously available at Wal-Mart but not Netflix. Yay! more movies for me.
My dragon has been named
Norberth! Norbert the Norwegian Ridgeback from Harry Potter. +’th’ in the fashion of the dragon of Pern. All dragons in Pern (Anne McCaffery) have names that end in ‘th’.
